400,000 sq feet in downtown St. Louis! The Builders HOme
and Garden Show is actually 5 complete shows in one - Lawn
and Garden, Pool and Spa, Kitchen and Bath, Interior Design
and Building Products. Enormous feature gardens, local and
national celebrity speakers and family fun areas are just

The
Big House
When: Thursday, May 19 · 8:00am - 5:00pm
Recently opened to tours, the 1836 Missouri State Prison
at Jefferson City, with its tiers of cells and wealth of
stories, is as fascinating as it is foreboding.
On our engaging almost two hour walking tour, we will see
the prison innards much as they were when the inmates and
guards lived there.
Whatever you do don't shut any of the doors behind you!
...It was the oldest prison west of the Mississippi and,
at one time, was the largest prison in the world, with 5,200
inmates. Former inmates include James Earl Ray, Pretty Boy
Floyd, Sonny Liston and Stagger Lee.
We will have a lunch of delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches
at the local favorite- Prison Brews Pub.
For almost 135 years the Missouri Governors Mansion has
provided a home for 33 Governors and their families. Missouri's
first family will open the doors to this stately mansion
for our visit this afternoon. Later everyone will be treated
to an ice cream at a regional favorite - Central Dairy.

foods, without leaving the city of St. Louis.

and Ethiopian.
We will sample delicacies at Olympia Kebob House, Grbic',
